WG-Abzocke: Der fiese Trick von Betrügern
Vorsicht: WG-Abzocke 🙁 ! Nicht nur zum Semesterwechsel dreht sich das WG-Karussell, Absolventen ziehen aus ihrer Wohngemeinschaft aus, Erstsemester ziehen ein, andere ziehen in ein schöneres Zimmer.
Auch für ein Auslandssemester suchen sich viele Studierende eine temporäre Bleibe und ziehen die WG vor, da man da neben günstigem Wohnraum auch zu Insider-Infos und sozialen Kontakten kommt.
Besonders beliebt sind deutsche Wohngemeinschaften auch bei ausländischen Studierenden und bei Asylbewerbern mit Studienwunsch. Doch Vorsicht ist geboten, kann man doch auf den einschlägigen Portalen Angebote entdecken, die an die Betrugsmaschen erinnern, wie man sie von den Automobil- und Zweiradbörsen her kennt.
Herausragend ist eine Masche, bei der versucht wird die Zahlungsabwicklung von –Airbnb-, einem bekannten Übernachtungsportal zu nutzen um den Interessent vermutlich ohne Gegenleistung finanziell zu erleichtern 🙁
Wie läuft die WG-Abzocke?
Ein besonders gutes Angebot findet sich auf einer einschlägigen Plattform. Nach der Kontaktaufnahme erhält ein Interessent einen Fragebogen und es werden sehr detaillierte persönliche Daten abgefragt. Oft sind die Erklärungen, warum ein Zimmer oder eine Wohnung angeblich frei wäre äußerst blumig und ausführlich formuliert. Die Zahlungsabwicklung wird oft über ausländische Zahlungsanbieter gefordert, meist namhafte Unternehmen. Eine Zahlung wird gefordert, noch bevor der Interessent das Zimmer oder die Wohnung überhaupt gesehen hat oder die Adresse kennt. Damit sich der Interessent in Sicherheit wähnt, wird versprochen, im Falle einer Unzufriedenheit würde das Geld wieder zurückerstattet. Bei vielen dieser Angebote ist das angebotene Zimmer oder die angebotene Wohnung nicht verfügbar oder nicht vorhanden, ein Student in Wohnungsnot soll um Geld geprellt also betrogen werden, die Masche hat inzwischen mehrere Varianten, hier ein Anschreiben, das vermutlich in betrügerischer Absicht geschrieben wurde.
Beispieltext einer vermutlichen WG-Abzocke:

First I have to inform you that the price you shall pay for the first month of rent will be 200Euro (money for the first month you move in my apartment) and I ask also for security deposit (Kaution) 800 Euro, in total you have to pay 1000 Euro so you can move in my apartment without any additional charges to pay. The money for the next months (200 euro) I want to receive monthly the rent from you in my bank account, so I hope it will be no problem for you to wire the money. I’m willing to send you the keys so you can visit and check the apartment .The delivery of keys and the rental contract (signed by me), will be made by AirBnb (www.airbnb.com), they will also help us to make a third party transaction so you can therefore feel safe about this deal. To start the transaction with AirBnb you need to send me all this details: Full name: Now let me explain you how the transaction works: After I receive all this details, I can go to AirBnb office and start the transaction. When they will have the keys and the real estate company on custody, they will send you a delivery notification, in which they tell you that they have the keys and all documents. When you receive the delivery notification from AirBnb, you will have to go your bank office and make a bank transfer to AirBnb agent in Germany, assigned with this transaction for the amount we agreed (1000 Euro). If you do not have time to go to your bank office you can make the payment online. I inform you that your payment must be confirmed in 24 hours or early after the transaction was started. After you make the deposit you will have to send to AirBnb the payment confirmation from bank money transfer, so they can know that you already made the deposit. AirBnb will verify the payment and if everything is in order they will deliver the keys and the rental contract to you in 48 Hours. AirBnb will send to you an agent at your house door, and that person will come with you to visit the apartment to see that all is right. If you will be satisfied with the flat, you will sign the rental contract. However, if you are not pleased with the apartment for any reason, the agent will give your money back immediately, and I will get my keys and documents back (I will write on the rental contract this condition, to be sure that you will get your money back). Also, in case you have another apartment right now, and you can not move immediately, we can make the deal as I explained it now, and consider it only an inspection and reservation until you will be able to move there. I will pay for the services of the agency, so there will be no costs for you. Vorbeugen gegen eine WG-Abzocke
Ähnliche Texte und Angebote werden inzwischen auch in Deutsch verschickt, die Inhalte ähneln sich jedoch. Damit kann man sich nicht darauf verlassen, dass Abzock-Angebote immer in Englisch sind.
Tipps:
- Gesunden Menschenverstand einschalten 🙂 Wenn es zu schön, um … – Hände weg!
- Ohne Mietvertrag nicht in Vorleistung gehen, bevor man die Wohngemeinschaft besichtigt hat!
- Kautionen sind in einer Wohngemeinschaft eher moderat oder gar nicht üblich, lieber eine Kautionsversicherung abschließen, als sich über den Tisch ziehen zu lassen!
- Persönlichen Kontakt zur Wohngemeinschaft aufnehmen!
- Lern die Leute kennen, mit denen Du zusammen leben wirst!
- Seriöse WG’s erwarten eine Vorstellung des Interessenten, weil die vorhandenen Mitglieder im Voraus wissen wollen, auf wen sie sich einlassen und mit wem sie zusammen leben wollen!
- Seriöse WG-Angebote enthalten meist eine kurze Angabe über die vorhandenen Bewohner!
- Eine Villa zur alleinigen Nutzung mit Blick auf den Stadtpark und Pool im eigenen Park für unter 217,00 Euro ist sicher ein Fake-Angebot! 😉
